MOMA Oxford :Lynn Hershman Leeson

I discussed Lynn Hershman Leeson artwork with my classmates in the class today. She is a creative artist. Her produtions include arts , films and also focus on the changing relationship between the body and technology. Now she has an exhibition in MOMA Oxford.

This artwork named Breathing Machine IV in 1968.There are butterflies, feathers, face and black yarn.butterflies looks like strong vitality .The black yarn represents breathing machines. They symbolizes to combine life and death and never separate.

This artwork is a series like Roberta Breitmore series. She used black color as background. The woman worry about something and feel anxious. The artist doubted issues about agibts, debts and death. She didn’t believe that train of diseased and self image greed in the contemporary America’s culture.

I will go to MOMA Oxford on Friday and really look forward to see the exhibition. If you couldn’t wait, you can watch it on website.
